For Immediate Release: Radical Feminist Studies Professor Evades Public Scrutiny

Radical Feminist Studies Professor Continues to
Evade Public Scrutiny

 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Santa Barbara, CA, Friday, April 4, 2014 - Professor Mireille Miller-Young, through her attorney, pled not guilty to the charges of theft, assault, and vandalism today.  Exactly one month ago, professor of Feminist Studies, Mireille Miller-Young, stole property from and assaulted youth activists at UC Santa Barbara.  Miller-Young did not appear at her own arraignment.

Miller-Young has not spoken up to defend her actions or to apologize for rudely and violently interrupting the peaceful conversations that the pro-life students were holding.  The university has also remained deafeningly silent regarding Miller-Young's actions.

Now, a month has passed since Miller-Young was caught on video assaulting a young pro-life activist.  We demand an apology.  UC Santa Barbara's chancellor has cowered behind silence.  Email and call the University of California system's president, Janet Napolitano, and demand that Miller-Young be fired, and that UC Santa Barbara apologize for allowing her to silence free speech on a UC campus:

"We train young people to lead pro-life events and to stand their ground when their free speech rights are violated. We are appalled by the university's failure to address Miller-Young's uncivil and criminal behavior," said Kristina Garza, Director of Campus Outreach for Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust.
